The Berrys are moving to Longview Washington

After much prayer and fasting we have decided to make a huge change in our lives. We are leaving Twin Falls to move to Washington state. Dave has been keeping his eye out for the right situation that will help him to advance his career. He started talking to PT Northwest in Longview last June and eventually decided to make a change. The plan is that he will work in Longview (about 1 hour North of Portland on I-5) for a about one year and then open up a new clinic in partnership with Dan, the owner. Dave will manage the clinic and build substantial equity in the business. This has been a huge decision for our family. Our biggest challenge is selling our home in Twin Falls. We pray daily that all things will fall into place and that the house will sell by the first part of June.

After our family took a vacation in Washington, Dave had to stay behind in Longview in his own apartment while the rest of the family returned to Twin Falls to finish school and sell the house. He plans to make it home to Twin every 3-4 weeks over the next 2 months. So far, Daves work is going well and he is surviving on mac and cheese and peanut butter and jelly (Just kidding). Everyone might be impressed to know that he dined on homemade lasagna and sweet and sour chicken last week. Part of his activities include making this BLOG for all to enjoy.

Family Vacation to Washington- 03/08

Over spring break our family took a vacation to Washington. We spent a few rain filled days at Longview washington (along with one flat tire), one sunny day at the Space Needle in Seattle, and another rainy day visiting Aberdeen, Long Beach, and Astoria at the coast. We stayed every night in a Guesthouse Inn where the kids got to play in the indoor pool and eat a great breakfast in the morning. Matthew, kendra and Josh had fun playing on the elevator. In Seattle, the kids loved the space needle and we got to go to Pikes Market on the bay and watch the workers toss fish and see the market place busy with shops and people.

Jared Turns 14

Jared turned the big 14 years old on Feb 9, 2008. He is really growing up. He is now taller than his dad by a small fraction. Although he is taller, dad can still school him on the basketball court ----but not for long.

Kendra Loves Clogging

Kendra has been taking cloggling lessons for several months now. She enjoys classes with her best friend, Kelsey Bastian. Kendra has always been quite coordinated with dance. Play this video clip to see Kendra in a small group competion where she had to learn a certain dance routine. Kendra likes to compete with her group from Rocky Top Cloggers. She is looking forward to a competition down at Lagoon amusement park in Utah in May 2008.

Matthew gets baptized

On September 1, 2007 Matthew was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Family came to Twin falls to enjoy the event. Matthew loves his cousins and grandparents.

We have a puppy

About 9 weeks old

As of October 2007 the Berrys have a new puppy. His name is "OTIS". We love him but are also a little allergic to him. He has his own little kennel he sleeps in a night inside the house. He hardly ever barks and is a lot of fun. He is trained to ring chimes when he has to go potty.
